Adi Shamir and His Beautiful Mind

http://i.zdnet.com/blogs/shamir.jpg

Adi Shamir is an Israeli cryptographer. He was one of the inventors of the RSA algorithm (along with Ron Rivest and Len Adleman), i am sure most of the computer science world would have heard of RSA,he is also one of the inventors of differential cryptanalysis and has made numerous contributions to the fields of cryptograhy and computer science. He definitely has a beautiful mind. Some of the algorithms developed by him is so damn interesting. He just makes use of simple theories and mathematics. I am a keen enthusiast of cryptography. Lately i happened to see two of his algorithms in wiki. Am sure u will also enjoy
reading them.

One of them is secret sharing algorithm which uses basic priniciples such as only 2 points are required to construct a line, 3pts for a parabola etc.

Another one took me suprise in that alogorithm, called the Three Pass Protocol, messages are encrypted and decrypted and sent but theres is NO KEY EXCHANGE. Imagine the sender encrypt n decrypt using his own pair of keys and the receiver with his pair. They never have to know the other ones key to exchange a message.Isnt that just wonderful!!!!

Is WHALE a FISH?

Funny question isnt it? I thought it was a fish until my frnd sabari told me it was a MAMMAL n not a FISH......Even DOLPHIN is a MAMMAL n not a FISH.......so i decided to find out how the classification is

Animals with an internal skeleton made of bone are called vertebrates. Vertebrates include: primates, such as humans and monkeys; amphibians; reptiles; birds; and, fish.Although vertebrates represent only a very small percentage of all animals, their size and mobility often allow them to dominate their environment.

Of the million or more animal species in the world, more than 98% are invertebrates. Invertebrates don't have an internal skeleton made of bone. Many invertebrates have a fluid-filled, hydrostatic skeleton, like the jelly fish or worm. Others have a hard outer shell, like insects and crustaceans. There are many types of invertebrates. The most common invertebrates include the protozoa, annelids, echinoderms, mollusks and arthropods. Arthropods include insects, crustaceans and arachnids.
